The future of work is about generative AI and cybersecurity. Some interesting data include the following:
There are 16.28 million Malaysians in the workforce. 65% of workers in Malaysia will be using generative AI in between 5% to 20% of their work activities. Only 19% of Malaysians believe they possess sufficient digital skills for effective job performance.
As far as CyberSecurity is concerned, Malaysia recorded a shortage of almost 8,000 cyber security professionals in 2020. IWFCIM in collaboration with Microsoft Philanthropy ASEAN launched the Ready4AI&Security Malaysia recently. The objective is to upskill TVET educators and students with futureproof market ready skills in generative AI and cybersecurity.
Â
The Ready4AI&Security initiative covers the end-to-end scope from
training to employment. The key impacts will include training 200 TVET
educators and 5000 TVET students with generative AI and cybersecurity
skills.1,200 students will sit for the Microsoft SC 900 – Microsoft Security,
Compliance and Identity Fundamentals exams with at least 500 of them passing
the exams. We will organize career and job matching programs to support at
